Remember when I gave Steve a baby cousin?

iu_1196029_19511192.png

Well, I truly believe he has family still alive, extended family. So, I will add it in my webseries where Steve discovers he has an aunt and uncle who are still alive and they’re practically the only family he knows of who are alive.

And they….. surprise, surprise, have baby nontuplets. (6 boys, 3 girls) and to his surprise, his aunt is becoming the lieutenant colonel of the gamal military (I named the Tankmen military bases for my webseries). Making her the first Tankwoman to get a high position in the gamal military (on the rival side, dalat, the colonel is a tankwoman). That means she works with the colonel (his name will be Colonel Sprinkles in my webseries).

iu_1196030_19511192.jpg

While John fears the colonel, having Steve’s auntie being the colonel second-in-command, he’s not too fearful.

And Steve’s aunt, uncle, and tiny cousins end up moving to the next neighborhood down from his and John’s neighborhood so

she can be closer to work.

Let’s just say, upon this discovery, Steve will glom onto his aunt and uncle as if they’re his parents because they’re all he has as far as family goes. And they often visit him and John.

Remember how I pointed out that tankpeople are kinda cat-like? It's the most prevalent with their bathroom habits....

iu_1195461_19511192.jpg

iu_1195463_19511192.png

Steve is the only tankperson (well, tankman, tankling (he's 16)) we have seen use the bathroom onscreen and have you noticed he always aims for the soil? That's what cats do! And we never see Steve finish but I assume like a cat, he covers his urine puddle when he's done. (Simply by kicking soil over it, and probably taking a step further and smoothening it with his feet) So, given Steve, I assume all of Mars does it, where the planet's population just uses the Martian soil as one giant litterbox. (So, there's probably aged waste every cubic meter on Mars and some spots have more waste than others)

But, in my webseries, I feel like giving the tankpeople a few cat-like characteristics, not just treating Mars like one giant litterbox because it's instinctual. They are aliens after all so they won't act 100% human

What cat-like characteristics should I give them? I am limiting it down to 3 because of how human-like the tankpeople are. And we know the first one is bathroom habits, which I will be keeping. (Except, I will show tankpeople covering their waste when they finish, e.g., when Steve finishes peeing, he will gently kick soil over his puddle and smoothen the soil with his foot before walking off) What will the others be?

The second will be "purring", but unlike cats, tankpeople will purr when they experience euphoria. And newborn tankbabies, like kittens will "purr" when nursing and being held, but they grow out if "purring" after 1 month of life and will only "purr" when experiencing euphoria.

And the third and final is, the way tankbabies play, they will play like human babies and put stuff in their mouths, press buttons, etc. and they will actually play like a kitten.

iu_1195462_19511192.png

Where the tankbaby will lay on the floor with the toy and wrestle it and bat at things with hands.

Just adding this, in my webseries, tankpeople will act mostly human but also a little like cats too.

As I plan my Tankmen webseries, I was reading Captain John's personality descriptions according to @JohnnyUtah and the Tankmen Wikia.

iu_1194549_19511192.png

https://tankmen.fandom.com/wiki/Captain?so=search

We have a smart, fearless leader who has a feminine side.

iu_1194548_19511192.png

Self-proclaiming himself as a mother and being a fashionista, he has some femininity.

But what's missing are weaknesses, while we can't count his feminine side (he's clearly not ashamed of it), I identified one weakness and fear John has, the colonel....

Yep, this guy...

iu_1194547_19511192.jpg

I identify this tankman as the colonel because not just his insignia but there's artwork of him barking at John like he some authority over him.

iu_1194550_19511192.png

He looks pretty pissed here!

John fears the wrath of the big cheese, the head of the military base he works for. While it's clear the colonel is not always present on the battlefield, critiquing those beneath him, I think we know where the colonel is when he's not present....

iu_1194551_19511192.png

iu_1194552_19511192.png

Looking for excitement. (It it is the colonial because if you look closely, you can see the insigna on his left shoulder) (Maybe he watches the Thugmen's games a lot in his office)

Imagine if John saw him at Frank's?

iu_1194553_19511192.jpg

He'd be shaking in his boots. (And I bet if the colonel just casually greets him he becomes very avoidant like "Oh no, it's the colonel, he's going to try to find one thing wrong with me and kick my a** for it.")

We can confirm he's entirely fearless, he does have a fear, the colonel.

So, in my webseries, I will make this fear into an insecurity, wanting to please authority figures. Where John fears he's never good enough in the eyes of his superiors, especially the colonel, even if he's doing a fine job. Where he believes there's standards that are too high to reach, even if he's following those standards. And we will see he just wants to make the colonel happy no matter what he does, and even if he's told he's doing a good job, he feels it's not enough.

I think that weakness matches up with John being a military captain and adding this weakness will make him feel more human. Where he thinks his superiors have too high of standards, higher than they really have.

In 1940, a movie, "Road to Morocco" came out and with it came a song named after the titular...

https://youtu.be/53hGjaGpRkw?si=q6CkZaqKsyflhWE0

However, the song only garnered TWO PARODIES!

Family Guy: Road to Rhode Island

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: We're Friendship Bound (Road to Friendship)

This is surprising given the song's comedic nature (and 4th wall breaks on top of that), I figured more media will utilize the song and spawn more parodies of it! But nope, it goes unnoticed by Hollywood and Burbank. *sighs*

So, now it's my turn! I am deciding whether or not I should include a parody of Road to Morocco in my upcoming Tankmen webseries. Well, maybe it will come when I start building the Tankpeople's society on Mars (I have decided that instead of counties and states; Mars will have regions and providences: The planet will be divivded up into 4 regions (2 in the northern hemisphere and 2 in the southern hemisphere) and within the regions are providences (I haven't decided how many yet). And while unlike Earth, the regions and providences won't have varying cultures, instead it's the standard Middle Eastern and South American cultures throughout the planet and there will be minor differences in each region (e.g., the region that the Dalah Tankmen are in (naming the military bases), they tend to eat more seafood as there's more beaches than other parts of Mars in that region (so, in the scenes where Skittles is having meals with his family, you'll see Martian marine life on their plates)). So, by then, I will decide which providence Tankpeople will be traveling to.

Secondly, if I do the parody, who will sing it? Well, each parody has two characters of the same gender singing the song so I have to retain that. Hmm.... Well, I have 4 candidates:

iu_1193784_19511192.png

John and Steve (least likely choice as THE MAIN CHARACTERS don't sing the song in the parodies and plus if Tankmen does have a 4th wall break (which is what the song has), I highly doubt John and Steve are the ones to do it, it's just not in character)

iu_1193785_19511192.png

(Forgot who drew this wonderful fanart but if remember who, I will credit you!!) Liutentant and Sargaent (they're the best candidates because they're more comedic compared to the other characters, so, a 4th wall break won't be too far fetched for them. Plus, it will put a whole new spin on the parody because I am keeping the motorcycle as their mode of travel (I just love it, it's SO PERFECT!!), I will also motify the motorcycle to contain a sidecar for Baby Mango (yes, I gave Liutentant a tankbaby, his name will be Mango). Don't worry, the sidecar will have maxiglass and a sidecar seat to protect Mango! So, yes, having them be on the motorcycle during the song sequence will be a whole new spin (and maybe I will have a pilot directly above them carrying their luggage))

iu_1193786_19511192.png

These Two Tanklings (I have names for them, Snickers and Kiwi. And like Sarg and Liutentant, they are also likely candidates. But given they're clearly rowdy teenagers, I imagine like Road to Friendship, they'll take the song to a more upbeat, high tempo version of the song. And like Road to Rhode Island, there maybe a few verses about meeting "cute" female tanklings because well.... they're teenagers, they're naturally horny. My point is, these two baby boys may take this parody to an interesting place)

Any tankpeople! I don't have to give the song to already known tankpeople (though having a song between Daiquiri (the new private Ted will be mentoring in my webseries) and Jeremy (Paranoid Sniper) will just sound like two friends arguing (which will be another interesting approach), Cronie and Nightvision (They're part of Tankwoman's squad) will be hilarious because I will give them personalities and Nightvision is just emo so his parts will be needlessly dark and edgy and Cronie's parts will be lighthearted (here's a taste of what that will sound like, We're going to place where people chop their hands off for fun/How about the spa? (I suck at songwriting), and Orange Juice and Chesnut (these dorks: the pilot and the phone addict, it's my fan names for them) will be interesting because unlike the original and the parodies, they'll be in a military jet or space craft flying to another part of Mars or another planet), I can give it to two randoms ones.

Either way, I feel this song needs more love and I may parody it in my Tankmen webseries!

https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/polydipsia-thirsty

Polydipsia sounds like the drinking equivalent to binge eating disorder.

I wonder if Captain John is polydipsic (psychogenic polydipsia to be exact)?

I highly doubt he’s denying Steve of liquid on purpose….

iu_1192916_19511192.png

iu_1192915_19511192.png

Yep, it’s not on purpose because in none of Johnny Utah’s artworks, John does not have a mean look on his face. He looks like he’s just going on, completely unaware his best friend is dehydrated or pissy because he drank all the coffee.

So, this lead to me believe John suffers from polydipsia but instead of constantly reaching for water, he just has incredibly poor self control where every time he goes to the store to buy liquid or packs it for a long mission, it won’t last very long as John will drink the entire case in one sitting. It’s to the point where you can’t really trust him to go shopping or on a mission alone, where after the drinks are paid for, they have to get hidden and brought out one at a time so John won’t make the whole case and containers disappear. And on missions, someone has to solely be in charge of the water and just pull out water when John actually asks for water.

iu_1192914_19511192.png

Firstly, Mars has interesting standards. (water comes in cans instead of bottles so we can conclude the cans John has around him in Graveyard Shift was, in fact, water) (I bet northern hemisphere tankpeople get water from the ground and the winter snow because I doubt the southern hemisphere will let Northerners anywhere near their water, it’s a planetary war, of course nobody’s sharing their resources!) Secondly, I guess in Rumble, somebody is watching how much John drinks because there’s one can and we don’t want Steve getting dehydrated again.

So, as a result, he’s prone to water intoxication. (This happens when your cells absorb too much water, so Tankpeople are not safe from water intoxication)

Either way, wanted to share this theory. John just has a disorder that causes him to drink everything in one sitting if put in front of it. (e.g., an entire case of water, an entire gallon of milk, etc.)

As you all know, a year on Mars lasts 24 months. And given Tankmen takes place on Mars….

I will be basing references to time on how time flows on Mars.

iu_1192897_19511192.png

I will be referring to the Mars calendar Meta-Olympia wrote out because it not only lines up the year so it’s easy to read. It also has the seasons colorcoded so you can see how long they last. (This helps with placing holidays for the Tankpeople to celebrate)

But as you know, the calendar effects how the tankpeople age and gestation processes.

iu_1192898_19511192.png

iu_1192899_19511192.png

As we know, they’re aliens, so the gestation process is different, but they seem to age like humans.

iu_1192900_19511192.png

Aside from Ted acting like he’s 70 despite being 47, Skittles is 13 and acts like a kid his age. (Despite throwing temper tantrums, it’s not like a toddler where he’s kicking, screaming, and crying. But more like how a edgy teenager would behave) But given Mars’ years, everyone ages like us but they stay that age for 24 months because that’s how long a Martian year lasts. So, they age slower than us, like while we celebrate our birthday, Skittles will stay 13 for another 12 months. (but then, this is animation, and given Tankmen’s episodic nature (I will make my webseries episodic because it fits the best), nobody will age except tankbabies will show growth but stop at where I want the age for them to be))

With that being said, while tankpeople and tanklings are easy because they’ll have a stagnant age and it’s easy to pinpoint their ages. The Tankbabies will be a challenge because they’ll be aging by months and while human babies take 23 months to reach the toddler stage, babies do achieve milestones as they age. So, pinpointing a tankbaby’s age will be hard.

iu_1192901_19511192.png

A chart will help me pinpoint ages, and given I will have tankbabies mature a little faster than human babies, (Where by their equivalent to being a few months old, they’re already saying their first words, crawl, and have precise hand-eye coordination (e.g., Twix will already be coloring pages neatly), at birth, they can hold their bottles and nurse without assistance, and by the time they’re equivalent to 5 months old, they’re crawling, saying a few words (where they speak 1-2 words at time, like saying “daddy, up” to be held), and even standing up, and by the equivalent of 10 months old, they’re walking), the chart will help me pinpoint where tankbabies reach those milestones.

So, you’ll see the tankbaby age chart after I finish my finals.

In midst of production of both my Tankmen webseries and its pilot, I will be giving each military base official names to make life easier. I am naming them after the Syriac alphabet because I am basing the culture of off middle eastern and South American culture….

So, here are the names:

iu_1192880_19511192.png

Gamal

The home base of Captain John, Steve, Ted, Lieutenant, Sargaent, Colonial (I swear the speaker Tankman on the speaker with the Steve goggles is the colonial, especially since he was legit barking at John in an artwork and the fact John gets mad at Steve for losing the tank, maybe he was mad because he fears the Colonial, being his superior, maybe if he loses the tank and it’s Steve’s fault, John receives the punishment while Steve gets off scot-free. John just fears the wrath of his superior when there’s a screw up (I imagine colonial has very high standards for those beneath him and those who break his rules get harshly punished)), Bill, and others.

iu_1192881_19511192.jpg

Dalat

The home base of Commander (I will give him a real name in my webseries, it’s Frost), Tim, Skittles, and Honey (my fan name for the expectant mother in Tankmen Infinity, Commander has a heart if he’s going to let a pregnant mom serve in his army).

What separates Gamal and Dalat are the hemispheres, Gamal is on the northern hemisphere of Mars while Dalat is on the southern hemisphere of Mars. For reference, here’s a real photo of Mars with the equatorial line.

iu_1192882_19511192.jpg

And this further proves my theory because Skittles was near water while John and Steve were in the middle of the desert, like the Southern Hemisphere clearly has water.

iu_1192883_19511192.jpg

This is sci-fi so rl rules go out the door.

Dang, makes me wonder, does Dalat get beach duty? I imagine it’s their equivalent to Gamal’s graveyard duty.

iu_1192884_19511192.png

While John and Steve suffer from dehydration and water intoxication (yep, Steve is dehydrated while John acts on his polydipsia (that’s actually the drinking equivalent to binge eating disorder) and drinks all the water they packed in one sitting, leaving Steve with nothing and possibly getting incredibly angry with his best friend later on while John is vomiting and peeing like crazy (that is water intoxication does to you), but for John, it’s normal because it happens whenever he goes shopping or goes on day or more long missions (he always gets water intoxication) (he always has to have someone hide the drinks he buys/packs, whether it’s Steve or their narcoleptic tank-mate, Matt (I am convinced this is canon, I think the reason why we never see him is that he’s sleeping inside the tank, like, he looks like he just woke up here and Matt is my fan name for him, in my webseries, he’ll be Bill’s older brother and he helps raise his nephew, Baby Phil but given he randomly falls asleep a lot (narcolepsy) (John and Steve take over Matt when falls asleep again) he ends up living with John and Steve as he’s not safe to be alone)), Commander and Tim get to be on the beach.

Just sharing that I will be naming the Mars military bases in my webseries to separate them.
