Anticipating my Tankmen webseries, I realize there are two things in the original Tankmen shorts that aged like milk…

Skittles smoking (kids his age (which mind you, is 13) don’t smoke now, they vape, I know he’s a young alien and he lives on Mars (so, different laws than us) but still, today’s generations might get offended with this)

Tim’s character overall. (Him being both a pedophile and LGBTQ will not sit well with today’s standards. Like, let’s look at another pedo, Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy, Fox has essentially pulled the plug on him, why? Well, he’s a pedophile, he’s the last thing you want your character to be because pedos are viewed as the worst people in world (they’re lumped with nazis, they’re THAT VILE). He won’t just offend anyone, but also people in the LGBTQ community (don’t ask me on my views on this subject matter, if you do, I am sure to start a war))

So, yes, Skittles and Tim will have to be changed, while Skittles will have the smallest change, Tim will have the biggest change.

Here’s what I will do to make them suitable for my future webseries because I want to appeal to everyone….

Yep, Skittles’ change will be the smallest as I said above, he will remain the same (except he will own a smartphone now (because Friday Night Funkin’s Tankmen concept art revealed that the Tankpeople have possession of modern technology now (you have to squint to see it) and I honestly can see Skittles using Snapchat and Tik Tok from time to time) except for one ITTY BITTY THING. He will no longer be smoking tobacco cigarettes. Yep, instead, he’ll vape. I will depict him with e-cigarettes because if you look at them, they’re not too far off from traditional cigarettes. And given I will be giving Skittles a baby brother later on in the first season, he will have conflict with his family about vaping because when his mother was pregnant (she’ll announce she’s pregnant during the beginning of season 1, but it will be through a phone call from Skittles’ father, which will cause Skittles to throw another temper tantrum (thankfully, he won’t kill anyone here, really, he will shoot a boulder then flip off poor Honey (the pregnant tankwoman from Tankmen Infinity) and yell at her), being hypersensitive to smells, she does bark at Skittles to vape in the backyard, which conveniently, the beach. (I will have Skittles’ family live in a beach house because it appears where Skittles is on Mars, there’s a beach. (Dang, I think my hemispheres theory was confirmed because I rewatched Tankmen 0.5 and while Tim, Skittles, Commander, and Skittles’ father were on one of the Martian beaches; Steve, Captain John, and Bill were on one of the many dry parts of Mars and according this image of Mars, the few beaches the planet has are located on the Southern hemisphere of the planet (I swear I saw beach, plus, in Tankmen, it’s science fiction, the rl rules are out the door). So, yes, canonically, both hemispheres of Mars are at war with each other) She also dumps out the vape juice that bothers her olfactory the most. (Which will be cherry and blue raspberry, causing Skittles to become very angry with his mother) After she gives birth, Skittles learns not to vape around his baby brother, Twix and being forced to babysit everyday, Skittles will eventually kick his vaping habit because with Twix being around him 80% of the time, he has to keep his baby brother safe.

Now, for the part of my Tankmen webseries that will receive the biggest change. Tim as a character, his change will be he’s no longer a pedophile. In short, the way I will handle him is a mix of Bruce from Family Guy (take away the pedophilia and Tim is just Bruce from Family Guy) and the way @Temorinki handled him in her Tankmen short, Skittles Meets Phil (watch it if you haven’t already) where although he received barely any screentime, she handled him quite masterfully, he was no longer a creepy pedophile but just wants to be a father. That’s a substitute portrayal that can just work, we may even get some laughs from it. Where it’s from “harassing” poor Honey (she’s pregnant, the joke is that Tim wants her tankbaby but she obviously wants to keep her tankbaby, thankfully, this gag dies when Honey finally gives birth) and an episode where he outright kidnaps Butterscotch (John’s adoptive infant daughter in the webseries), Phil, and Pancake (John’s 4-year-old cousin and Junior Soldier who lives very close to him) and John, Steve, and some other soldiers have to rescue them. However, Tim will find solace in babysitting and eventually, the Junior Soldiers Pact, which he babysits Commander’s grandchildren when they get to be too much for him. But Skittles will not let Tim anywhere near Twix. And he will even end up helping out with the tanklings in the Junior Soldiers Pact of their base, but let’s say that once he helps out, little Sticks will unload on him about Skittles and Twix. (the 5 year old tankling who will be bonding with Skittles in the 5th episode)

So, here we go, that’s how I will make my Tankmen webseries more suitable for today’s social climate once I start production on it!
