Look at These Dorks!

Posted by Peonycreme - 1 month ago

Found a high quality version of the Friday Night Funkin concept artwork of the Tankmen….

And look at these two! (On the right)

When I first found the artwork, I thought these two were screaming in terror but the high quality version reveals that these dorks are happily cruising in their tank. I find it hilarious that they’re giggling like baby girls when directly above them, a dismembered pilot is falling to his demise.

I also wonder if they’re young soldiers, just teenagers, tanklings like Skittles? Think about it, they’re acting like squealing toddlers driving a cozy coupe. And adult Tankmen would be behaving like these two, they’d probably just go on like nothing happened or be shocked with what they just saw.

So, yes, that childish behavior points to them being teens, possibly 13-17 (Mars (it’s Mars you can’t unsee it), Skittles can smoke at 13, Steve can go to a bar despite being 16, and he’s already driving a tank before his 16th birthday. So, I bet tanklings can legally drive at 13 or 14 or possibly younger (12 would be youngest I imagine driving is legal on Mars) (I theorize Mars lives by middle eastern (until they began accepting tankwomen as individuals, Tankmen Infinity might be canon at this point) and South American laws and standards)) and it also shows Skittles and Steve are not the only tanklings canonically shown actively serving in the Martian military. But these two baby boys who think driving a tank is all fun and games.

Either way, wanted to point these two Tankmen out and given the way they’re behaving, I bet they’re just tanklings. And happy to see more teenagers in Tankmen! (I imagine Lieutenant is stuck with these young soldiers, 13-17. New theory: John leads the adults, Sargaent leads his own troops (there’s like millions of tankpeople), and Liutenant just leads the young soldiers (so dealing with these squealing baby boys, probably some female tanklings who simp after the males and giggle a lot, and male tanklings who love to troll everyone))

And per tradition, time to name these baby boys, here are my fan names for these tanklings: Snickers (left) and Kiwi (right).

Headcanon: Snickers and Kiwi are best friends, Snickers is 15 and Kiwi is 14. Snickers lives with his parents and little sister, Puffy (who eventually ends up in the Junior Soldiers Pact), who is 6 years old. Kiwi lives with his grandparents because his parents did not want to raise him. While Kiwi wishes he had siblings, he finds solace in visiting his best friend’s family. However, after talking to Liutentant, who has the privilege of leading the young soldiers, Kiwi takes a little time to help with the Junior Soldiers Pact and babysit Mango (who is Liutenant’s tankbaby) when Liutenant is busy and Bee (when Ted needs have Muffin separated from his twin sister). It does fill the void but Puffy does recognize her big brother’s best friend and immediately wants him to play with her. He got his finding in Captain John’s little cousin, Pancake, who is only 4. While John is pleased with Kiwi’s side job, he’s very protective over his little cousin.
