Johnny Utah Answered My Question, I Can Still Do a Tankmen Animated Series, But for the Web Only

Well, guys, Mr. Utah answered my question I can't seem to find an answer for, "Are the Tankmen open source/public domain?" Mr. Utah says they are not, they are just as much under copyright as Felix the Cat. But that does not mean I can't make animated series about them, it just won't be for streaming but for free like YouTube, here on Newgrounds, and nonprofit streaming services like Twitch. But I will make it if I get hired into an animation studio that makes web content. (Which is pretty much every small animation studio) And I will likely make the "pilot" as my senior project.

Was not expecting Mr. Utah to pop again, I thought he was too busy to talk to anyone. (Even me) But he proved Reddit was right and he's one of the only people who can legally pitch a Tankmen series. (the question is, does he or even any of the Newgrounds staff want to? Probably not) But I can make a Tankmen series that is free to watch on online and will do it if I get the opportunity to make a web-exclusive animated series if I get hired at a small animation studio.

Plus, did the math just now because public domain is talked about more. And it looks Tankmen will reach the public domain at approximately 2105 or 2125 because according to the sources, copyright generally lasts about 100-120 years. https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-duration.html#:~:text=As%20a%20general%20rule%2C%20for,plus%20an%20additional%2070%20years. Just looked it up out of curiosity!

But with my newfound knowledge, an animated Tankmen series by me will obviously be available free to stream, and I will definitely make it if I get hired at small animation studio. (Small animations are making movies and series for YouTube now and they're paid streaming or cinematic quality, like the Guava Juice Show for example. https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLg8oaaTdoHzNzlIomHhOZBWP1F9t0iJiN It's becoming more common than you think) If they refuse, it will turn into a side project as my first show. (Don't worry, Johnny Utah, I will credit you and Newgrounds, this adaptation will be out of love and respect for your work because I am a fan) And I may also be self publishing children's books about them on these free ebook sites that are popping up now like Open Library and Project Gutenberg (it's copyright so I can't trust Amazon or Apple or Google Play or Barnes and Noble because they might try attach a price to it (even though they offer free ebooks but can we really tryst them?) and if that happens, I don't want the FBI knocking down my door). It'll be a side project just for fun!
